By downloading, installing, or using Six Hail Marys ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Sacramental Disclaimers
The App is not a substitute for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. No interaction with the App constitutes sacramental confession, absolution, or spiritual direction.
The App is a preparation and devotional tool only. Valid sacramental confession requires confessing to an ordained Catholic priest in person. The App consistently directs users toward seeking a real priest for the sacrament.
AI-generated content within the App (including reflections, suggested examinations of conscience, and prayer guidance) does not represent official teaching of the Catholic Church and should not be treated as such.
Description of Service
Six Hail Marys provides guided devotional prayers, examinations of conscience, prayer cards, a communal prayer wall, and other spiritual tools. The App may include optional premium features available through in-app purchases.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- •Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- •Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
- •Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
- •Submit content to the prayer wall that is hateful, abusive, obscene, or spam
- •Impersonate any person or entity in prayer wall submissions
- •Use automated systems to submit content or interact with the App
- •Attempt to access other users' data or administrative features
Prayer Wall Guidelines
The prayer wall is a communal space for sharing prayer intentions. By submitting to the prayer wall, you agree that:
- •Your submission will be visible to other users
- •Submissions are anonymous and cannot be edited or deleted after posting
- •We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms
- •We may use automated moderation to filter inappropriate content
- •The prayer wall is not a substitute for professional help — if you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline
In-App Purchases & Refunds
The App may offer optional premium features through Apple In-App Purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
Refunds: Since all purchases are processed through Apple, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.
Intellectual Property
The App, its design, content, and code are the property of Six Hail Marys. Prayer texts from Catholic tradition are in the public domain. User-submitted prayer intentions remain the property of their authors.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any spiritual content is theologically comprehensive or authoritative.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Six Hail Marys and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
